We have been reminded that there are many new band parents and family members that have not had the opportunity to volunteer at the fair booth in the past. With that being said, we have compiled some of the most frequently asked questions and their answers below.
If you have any other questions please feel free to email us at cookdd@hotmail.com and we will do our best to answer them.
Where is our booth?
We are in the little round building directly behind the grandstand.
Where do we park?
Unfortunately there is no vendor parking. We have to park in the general parking lot.
How do we get in?
You can come in any gate you choose because you should have your ticket ahead of time.
How do we get tickets from you?
We will be at the next band booster meeting at 7:30 on Monday and we can stay after to give out tickets. We will also be at the school after practice on 9/28 and 10/5. We can also make other arrangements if needed. Unfortunately we cannot refund your money for entry. If you do not get your ticket before fair week you can call us at 740-653-2749.
What jobs are needed for each shift?
We need people to serve soups and sandwiches, take orders, cashier, and people to wipe tables in the dining area.
We try to accommodate everyone as best we can. If someone has a special need it is best to let us know ahead of time and we will work with them. We want everyone be able to contribute and enjoy this fun experience.
Who can work (age, etc.)?
Anyone is welcome to volunteer. If you are under 15 you must be accompanied by an adult. Band members can volunteer, but you cannot miss school or marching band rehearsal. Younger students will need to take orders rather than serve the food.
What do I need to bring?
Just comfortable shoes and a hat. We have aprons available at the booth.
How do I turn in baked goods?
Baked goods can be dropped off any time during the day at the walk-in gate on Fair Avenue between Broad street and High Street. There is room to pull off the road, and there will be a cart there where the baked goods can be placed. We check it multiple times a day so nothing will sit for very long.
What baked goods are accepted?
We accept all kinds of homemade or store bought baked goods. Cakes and pies seem to go the best, but everything is welcome. Unfortunately we can only accept cream and custard pies that are store bought. This is a health department rule. It would be helpful if you include a list of ingredients with homemade donations due to allergies.
How do I sign up?
Click on this link to sign up for a shift or to donate baked goods.
Please come and have a great time with a fun bunch of people. Thanks!
