As we approach the fall season, we have two significant fundraising events that play a crucial role in supporting our band members: the Fairfield County Fair and the Band of Gold Invitational. These events contribute to over one-third of the band’s annual operating income, making your participation essential.
During the Fairfield County Fair, which runs from October 6-12, 2024, the Band Boosters will be operating a booth to raise funds. We rely heavily on volunteer participation to ensure the success of this booth. Volunteers are needed to help serve food and drinks or to donate baked goods for sale. If you’re unable to commit to a full shift, we are more than happy to accommodate your schedule. Volunteers are required to wear a hat while working at the booth.
In addition, we are excited to announce the 44th Annual Band of Gold Invitational, which will take place on Saturday, October 19. This event requires many different volunteer roles to ensure its success, including concessions, equipment parking, gatekeepers, and set-up. This year, we once again have a full schedule of 16 of Ohio’s finest bands participating.
