WHY BAND?
It is vitally important that students have a great experience in music so that they can inspire their communities. Since bands are traditionally the most visible and community-centered musical ensemble, we feel that it is the best outlet for inspiring others through the performance of music.
In the process of rehearsing and performing, we develop students to become kinder, more independent, more resilient, and more mature.
Through band, students learn the meaning of trust and the benefits of belonging to a group that cares deeply about one another.

The Lancaster band program exists to provide our students with an outstanding instrumental music experience that prepares them for life-long participation in music, while developing a great work ethic, musical independence, and leadership focused on serving others.

Belonging – We create a family atmosphere where everyone feels like they belong. Everything we do is done as a team, for the good of the program.
Inspiration – We discover our gifts so we can use them to help others. We perform so we can share our music with our community in order to add value to their lives.
Progress – Every day we strive to make small improvements in everything we do.
