Mission
The mission of the Lancaster High School band program is to work together as a team in order to fully utilize the strengths of all ensemble members, so that each member has a successful and meaningful experience that cannot be attained otherwise.
Program Goals
It is the goal of the Lancaster Instrumental Music Department that after graduating from our program our students will be able to:
1. Understand fundamental musical concepts which provide a foundation for musical skills.
2. Apply musical skills to continue learning as independent musicians.
3. Contribute to the success of a performing ensemble through active participation.
4. Appreciate quality music both as a performer and consumer, and communicate its cultural importance to others.
