“The Word” for State Adjudicated Event

Symphonic Band members and families:

“The Word” for next Saturday’s performance at OMEA State Adjudicated Event can be found below. To prepare for this important event, band members should be practicing each day to prepare their part to the highest level.

Saturday, April 29, 2017 – OMEA State Adjudicated Event @ Gahanna Lincoln HS Auditorium

7:45 – Band Room Opens
8:30 – Meet at LHS Band Room for short rehearsal
9:30 – Load Buses
9:45 – Depart LHS
10:45 – Arrive at GLHS
11:00 – Unload Equipment
11:30 – Lunch (at concessions)
12:20 – Symphonic Band Warm Up
1:00 – SYMPHONIC BAND PERFORMANCE!
1:40 – Sight Reading
2:00 – Load Equipment, Wait in Cafeteria for Rating
2:45 – Depart GLHS
3:30 – Arrive back to LHS, Unload Equipment (approximate time)

– Friends and family members should be reminded that photography and videos of any kind are strictly prohibited during OMEA performances.

– If students would like to ride home with a parent, a written note or email should be submitted to Mr. Factor by Thursday, April 27.

– VERY IMPORTANT – Symphonic Band this year will perform in the AUDITORIUM at Gahanna. There will be other performances in the gymnasium. If you go to the wrong place, you may miss our performance! Spread the word.

– CONGRATULATIONS in advance to Symphonic Band for earning to opportunity to perform at the State level. This is the the third consecutive year LHS has had bands at the state level of adjudication. Please come and support these great musicians!
