2019 Band of Gold members and families:
While the current school year has yet to end, it’s already time to get a head start on the summer and fall season!
This year, we are taking our visual program to the next level by bringing in our choreographer to work on movement training with the band.
All incoming marching band members (new and returning, including current 8th grade students and guard members) should plan to attend.
The dates are as follows. Instruments will not be needed on these days.
Monday, May 13 – 5:30-8:00pm
Wednesday, May 15 – 5:30-8:00pm
If you cannot attend, be sure to fill out the online absence form found on the band website under “Connect.” We understand that it’s a busy time of year and there are some scheduling conflicts.
Also, at the conclusion of each of these rehearsals, the Band Boosters will be available to assist students with trying on and ordering marching band shoes. Returning members should try on their shoes to make sure they still fit. All new members (with the exception of guard) will need to order shoes.
Shoes are $30. Checks should be made payable to Lancaster Band Boosters. Shoes should be ordered on one of these two days, and should be paid for if possible. Band camp payments can also be turned in at this time.
As many of the band members know, we have been in the process of redesigning our summer uniforms! Our black marching band shoes will be worn with the new uniforms, so it is important that these are ordered on May 13 or 15. The current uniforms (with white tennis shoes) will be seen for the last time in the Memorial Day Parade.
More information about the new summer uniforms will be available in a couple of weeks. We are very excited to debut our new look with the 2019 Band of Gold!
Do the band members need to go to both Monday and Wednesday of the Visual progeam?
