Band Families and Supporters,
On Thursday evening, the Band of Gold will be having an open rehearsal and run through of our show at Fulton Field. Rehearsal will begin at 6:00pm and will conclude with a performance at approximately 8:00pm.
Band members are asked to meet near the maintenance building behind Ewing around 5:45 to get warmed up. Since we will be changing into full uniforms for the 8pm run through, band shoes, black socks, and gloves will be needed. The band room will be open from 5:00-5:30pm to get instruments and equipment as needed.
This dress rehearsal is in preparation for our first OMEA Adjudicated Event of the year, on Saturday at Circleville High School. The Band of Gold will perform that evening at 7:45pm. Information regarding this contest can be found by visiting Circleville Band’s website.
Also, we will be in need of some volunteers to help with equipment. Here is a note from Mr. Gerken explaining what is needed.
The band is need of several people who are able and willing to move equipment (speakers, podiums, percussion racks, bass drum. chimes, gong, fences, etc.) at football games and band contests. We will be organizing after the Thursday night show at Fulton Field.
