Dear Band Families,
We have two important performances in the next couple of weeks. First, our Winter Concert is this Thursday, March 5, beginning at 7:30pm in the LHS Auditorium. This concert will feature all three concert bands, and will serve as a preview concert for Concert Band and Symphonic Band’s upcoming performance at OMEA District Large Group Adjudicated Event.
Concert Band and Symphonic Band will be traveling to Hilliard Darby High School this year, on Friday, March 13, to perform at the OMEA District Large Group Adjudicated Event. Performance times are 6:50pm for Concert Band, and 8:20pm for Symphonic Band. The departure time for buses will be approximately 4:00pm. A detailed itinerary will be available later this week.
Both performances are free of charge and open to the public.
Please continue to encourage your band members to devote regular time to focused, deliberate, individual practicing at home. A small amount of individual practice time is infinitely better than none! Band is much more enjoyable and engaging when one is fully prepared to contribute to the success of the full ensemble.
