Band families,
Our unexpected break will be challenging to continue the progress we have made this year, but we have some very positive ways to continue each individual band member’s musical growth during this time. This can be a great opportunity to focus on individual performance skills!
More details will be sent out as we are able. In the meantime, please be aware of the following:
- Junior High School Solo & Ensemble will be cancelled. Soloists will be refunded their fee.
- Instrument Selection Days and Parent Meeting for Beginning Band will be postponed until further notice.
- Guard Clinics will be postponed until further notice.
- Jazz Band Dinner Dance will be postponed until further notice. Please do not purchase tickets at this time. If you already have done so, we hope to reschedule and will honor your purchased tickets.
All band members will continue to improve their musicianship and technical abilities using several technological platforms, most of which have already been in use regularly, including Google Classroom and FlipGrid.
Students should continue to check Google Classroom and their school email daily.
Thanks for your flexibility. We look forward to using this time to focus on individual performance skills so that when we’re back together we can hit the ground running!
