Here are some misconceptions about volunteering…
I am really busy so I won’t be able to help.
Even a half hour of time can be extremely beneficial. If you can’t work a full shift, we’d be glad to have you for whatever time you have available.
I have younger children so I probably won’t be able to commit.
There are many jobs that can be done with younger children around. As the chairperson and they can help find a perfect job for you.
I really don’t know many people and don’t know what to do.
