LHS Band Members Participate in Honor Bands

Each year, top musicians from around the state participate in various honor bands. Many of these are hosted by local universities. Many Lancaster High School band members were among these musicians this year.

Brayden Sargent, sophomore trombonist, participate in both the Capital University Honor Band in November and the Ohio University Honor Band in December.

Ten band members were selected to participate in the Fairfield County All County Band, which was held this past Wednesday.

This past weekend, four LHS band members were part of the Ohio State University Honor Band weekend. With over 800 nominations, nearly 300 outstanding musicians were selected and placed into one of three bands: Honors Wind Symphony, Scarlet Symphonic Band and Gray Symphonic Band. Participants were:

  • Eliza Whittier, Bb Clarinet
  • Will Loudon, Trombone
  • Winter Winslow, Euphonium
