More information regarding Friday’s performance at State Adjudicated Event is found below. To prepare for this important event, band members should be practicing each day to prepare their part to the highest level.
Friday, April 28, 2023 – OMEA State Adjudicated Event @ Gahanna Lincoln HS Gymnasium
Make sure you eat before report time. We will not have an opportunity to eat during this trip.
4:45 – Meet at LHS Band Room for short rehearsal
5:20 – Load Equipment
5:35 – Load Bus
5:45 – Depart LHS
6:35 – Arrive at GLHS
6:45 – Unload Equipment
7:25 – Symphonic Band Warm Up
8:00 – SYMPHONIC BAND PERFORMANCE!
8:30 – Sight Reading
9:10 – Load Equipment
9:40 – Depart GLHS
10:30 – Arrive back to LHS, Unload Equipment (approximate time)
– Friends and family members should be reminded that photography and videos of any kind are strictly prohibited during OMEA performances.
– If students would like to ride home with a parent, a written note or email should be submitted to Mr. Factor by Thursday, April 27.
– VERY IMPORTANT – Symphonic Band will perform in the GYMNASIUM at Gahanna. There will be other performances in the auditorium. If you go to the wrong place, you may miss our performance! Spread the word.
– Doors to the performance area close promptly at the performance time. If you are not seated in time, you will be unable to enter late. Be sure to plan extra time to park and find the gymnasium.
