7:00AM – Band Room opens (if you need anything)

7:15AM – Percussion report to get on uniforms
                     Meet at the corner of Fair and High
Cars should park at Rising Park

7:30AM – Percussion rehearsal

7:45AM – Winds, Guard, and Field Commanders report to get on uniforms
                     Meet at the corner of Fair and High
Cars should park at Rising Park

8:10AM – Brass/Woodwind warm-up

8:45AM – Go to staging area on the track

9:15AM – BAND OF GOLD PERFORMANCE!!!

9:45-10:00AM – Change out of uniforms

There is no rehearsal on Thursday afternoon.

2:30PM – Percussion – On the pad

3:15PM – Winds – On the practice field

4:00PM – Full Band Rehearsal (On the practice field)

5:00PM – Load Equipment

5:30PM – Change into Uniforms

6:15PM – Meet in Auditorium for Announcements

6:25PM – Report to Parade Block for Uniform Inspections

6:40PM – March to Fulton Field

7:15PM – Pre-Game Show

7:30PM – Kick-Off

8:30PM – Halftime Performance (approximate time)

9:45PM – Game concludes (approximate time)

10:00PM – March back to Band Room (approximate time)

10:20PM – Unload equipment (approximate time)

10:35PM – Band is dismissed once the band room is clean (approximate time)

 

Reminders

– Instruments need to be cleaned, polished, and sticks taped prior to report time.

– Reminder about itineraries: “To be early is to be on time. To be on time is to be late.”

 

Attention Parents!

– Please do not park on either side of the fire lane at any time. This is the drive that loops around directly to the band room and to the front of the GAC entrance. Parents are asked to find a designated parking spot to drop off or pick up your son/daughter.

– We encourage our parents and band supporters to cheer loudly and enjoy the band from the stands. Due to safety, limited space, and athletic department rules, adults in the end zone must have a chaperone or equipment badge.

 

Upcoming Events

– Next week’s Football Game (Friday, October 21) is away versus Pickerington North.

– Our next competition will be Saturday, October 22 at Newark. Expect a performance time of approximately 2pm, with an early report time.

– The Band of Gold will perform at OMEA State Finals on Saturday, October 29 at Hilliard Bradley High School. Expect an early evening performance time, but you will need to reserve the entire day.
