Band Families,
Thank you for your flexibility with this weekend’s state contest schedule. We have already checked with the band members regarding their Sunday commitments. If anyone else will be late due to church, please let a director know so that we are aware.
We hope to see a big Lancaster cheering section in Dayton on Sunday!
Itinerary:
10:30AM – Guard Report Time (meet in Ewing gym)
11:00AM – Percussion Warm Up at Fulton Field (ready to play)
11:45AM – Brass/Woodwinds Report to Fulton Field, Warm Up (take cases)
12:00PM – Full Band Rehearsal at Fulton Field
12:45PM – Load equipment (We will need parent help at this time)
1:00PM – Eat, Get on uniforms
Bring a sack lunch or have something brought to you at this time.
Sunday will be cold. Be sure to dress accordingly.
1:30PM – Meet in Auditorium for Announcements
1:40PM – Load Buses
1:55PM – Depart LHS
4:00PM – Arrive at Dayton Welcome Stadium
Since our performance is during dinner time, band members should plan to pack food to eat upon arrival (at 4:00) or before departure (at 7:00). We will not plan on stopping at concession today.
4:45PM – Warm Up
5:45PM – BAND OF GOLD PERFORMANCE!!!
6:30PM – Presentation of Ratings
7:00PM – Load Buses
7:15PM – Depart Dayton Welcome Stadium
9:15PM – Arrive at Lancaster HS, unload
9:45PM – Band is dismissed once the band room is clean

Contest Information

Upcoming Events
– The Band of Gold’s annual Marching Band Concert will be held on Thursday, November 7 in the High School Auditorium. Rehearsals will be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday as regularly scheduled.
– The Holiday Parade is on Saturday, November 23 with parade rehearsal on Wednesday of that week from 3-5pm.
